Budleigh Salterton is a quiet, unspoilt, seaside town in East Devon on the beautiful
Jurassic coast. The location affords opportunities for walking the coastal path,
exploring the banks of the river Otter for its wild-life (with several viewing points),
or simply relaxing in the town or on the beach. There are pubs, tearooms, and restaurants
within the town and in its environs. A few minutes drive inland (or an energetic
walk) brings you to Woodbury Common with its spectacular views and its ancient hill
fort. The East Devon Golf Club adjoins the town and both the Woodbury Park Golf Club
and the Sidmouth Golf Club are only a short car journey away. Also a short drive
will bring you to Bicton Park Botanical Gardens. There are also many other local
attractions. Branches of major banks, a SPAR, and a Co-op can be found in the town,
a branch of Waitrose is located on the outskirts of Sidmouth and a branch of Tesco’s
is on the main road to Exmouth.
